J: I love their fries!! omg! I am in love with their fries. Jacks Urban Eats, pretty cool place to lounge (we went to the one located in midtown sacramento 20th & capitol) and eat delicious salad, sandwiches, and awesome fries. I heard their salad was pretty good next time I go there I will try their salad and give you a good post on it. We ordered a their Portabella & Artichoke sandwich, it was marinated and grilled, had artichoke hearts, cucumber, red bell pepper, with a blend of swiss cheese, kalamata olives, and feta cheese on honey oats wheat roll. It was a light meal because we also ordered their Urban Fries family size which we knew might be a little greasy due to their blue cheese & spicy chili oil as the toppings. If you feel like lounging and love fries I recommend Jacks Urban Eats.

J: Hot dogs all the varieties, who doesn’t like it. Everyone loves to eat hot dog, even the traditional bun, dog, ketchup, and mustard. Simple & yummy!
Let me take you to Ruffhaus Hot Dog Co. located in El Dorado Hill (town center plaza) They have awesome dogs & you can build your own. I ordered myself a “TofuBeast” dog, veggie dog topped with avocado, cucumber, tomato, arugula, romaine, wrap (vegan) & I added saurkraut. It felt like I was eating salad but instead it was hot dog. It was so fresh and the sauce for the hot dog was good that I didn’t care if it was wrapped in lettuce or bun. (I thought it came with bun, I was a little disappointed at first) Still, my specialty dog was delicious & from what I heard Mole had a good Bratwurst dog. I’ll let him describe later & will let him attach his awesome pic.
Pro: great setting, good for family, service was good, & reasonable price $
Con: not that I know of at the moment ;)
Mama Ann’s Italian Deli & Bakery Sauce!! Yummy ;))
J: Mama Ann’s Italian Deli & Bakery in El Dorado Hill…
Oh so yummy, what you see above is one delicious pizza roll and if you dip it in the sauce you’re in the right place for a cheesy roll. Using my iPad giving you this info, I can’t seem to post another picture to go along with this but bare with me for now cause you will see their awesome homemade sauce. Mole really like the sauce. He’s a sauce person.
Mole: I’m usually accompanied by my food critic J, but sadly not this time since I was sent out to Albuquerque, New Mexico on a business trip. This city is known by it’s motto,”The Land of Enchantment.” The burger was introduced by Adam from MvF was very enchanting to say the least. It was a DOUBLE GREEN CHILI BACON BONAZA CHEESE BURGER ADAM STYLE. Boy, when I took the first bite, the signature of New Mexico, GREEN CHILI sent me to a happy area where nothing else matters. It was so flavor able, smoky, and had the right amount of spice. So if your heading to ABQ, definitely check out this burger at FRONTIER Restaurant located right across from the University of New Mexico. It will enchant you…
J: If we didn’t need gas, we would missed out trying this simple delicious country food at Brugh’s Mill Country Store located in Fincastle, VA. And if it wasn’t for stubborn Mole who ordered this for me when I told him I wasn’t that hungry, it would be my lost…but he did it anyway and that’s why I love him. :) Yes, the food look typical but the taste was fantastic! I am a fan of mac & cheese and whenever&whereever I go out to eat, I can never find mac & cheese that satisfied me like this one. O how it tasted so good!
PROs: clean bathroom, nice people, and great scenery
Ben’s Chili Bowl!
J: This place is located in Washington DC, and they have one of the best hot dogs with Chili toppings. Its super best that Bill Cosby and even President Obama ate at this place. Bill Cosby even have his own food that is named after him. The place is quite small wished it would’ve been bigger but the crowds were great. Mole and I sat at the bar and we got to watch the chefs cook our foods. I ordered the Veggie Chili (Left) and in the awesome hot dog was a vegan vegetable protein (no beef), chopped tomatoes, green peppers, and onions. Let me tell you, it was just right! It tasted super good and light. From what I recalled, I don’t think there was any beans in the chili, which was great because I’m not a fan of beans. I don’t know what Mole ordered but he sure enjoyed his food. Oh we also, ordered their chili cheese fries and OMG! It was awesome. So when you take a trip to Washington DC, do stop by Ben’s Chili Bowl because you won’t be disappointed. :)

CON: Finding parking was a bitch!
J: Yes, we made it to Philly, PA :) and above is the sandwiches from Tony Lukes. I believed Adam did a challenge here, I’m not sure but I know he definitely ate here. Anyway, I ordered the steak Italian (Left) and damn my sandwich was good! It was easy on the stomach, the cheese and steak just melt into my mouth and yes it was worth the drive to Philly and thank you Adam for the recommendation. I don’t know what Mole ordered he can describe that himself. I’ll definitely go back and eat their Philly sandwiches.

Another eating place in New Jersey.
J: On our stay in New Jersey, we decided to eat something a bit different. We decided to check out a place called Hoysala a fine South Indian cuisine that served authentic homemade foods in buffet style (Dinner buffet starts at 7 pm onwards). It felt like home, it’s not the typical buffet you go to eat at, this place is made welcome to you like you’re at home and the crowd are more families. The food was different and oh you get all you can eat naan w/toppings (freshly made and served to you) Above is Moles dish, I didn’t eat much but when we take a trip to NJ and if we’re craving Indian we sure will drop by.

Another attempt to visit another of Adam (Man v. Food) adventure.
J: We checked out R U Hungry, its not your typical restaturant or cafe. You order food from a vending truck and they have tables for you to sit and eat at. The area is populated with college students because its centered in the middle of college town in New Brunswick, New Jersey. We ordered the Fat Phillipino, its one of the Fats famous sandwiches and in the sandwich it had, cheese steak, gyro, chicken fingers, mozz, white sauce, and FF (i dont know what FF stand for). The sandwich was pretty big and we both shared because we didn’t know what to expect. We want to stay on the safe side. It was pretty good. It was different, not the “WOW” kind of sandwich but its pretty good. I would try it again and this time it will be something different.
